'An Evening with RÓNÁN Ó SNODAIGH & MYLES O'REILLY'

A unique show bringing together 2 of Ireland's and Dublin's foremost contemporary artists in music and film respectively.Ireland's most renowned contemporary Trad group Kíla's legendary Ronán O' Snodaigh will be joined by fellow Dub and arguably Ireland's finest film maker and musician, Myles O' Reilly.
These 2 artists on Stage together will perform 'as Gaeilge' to public's all with their own similarly marginalized languages in Gallego, Catalan, and within the broader context of Spanish and the global lingua franca English. Through live music, poetry and storytelling we are proposing a show that communicates and connects beyond language between cultures with a natural affinity. ORTIGUEIRA (Galicia)
Winter Festival - Friday Feb 17 - 21.00 Next we move to Ortigueira in Galicia a region seeking to establish itself officially as a full ‘Celtic Nation’. The show here will form part of a special ‘winter series’ of gigs associated with the main 40 year old Celtic music summer festival in Spain. Their summer festival attracts crowds in excess of 100,000. Rónán as part of Kíla would have headlined this massive festival in the past In sport Galicia is also the fastest developing region in the European GAA county. |

BARCELONA (Catalonia)
- Sat Feb 18 - 20.30h Next we head Med-wards to the Catalan capital Barcelona. Barcelona was home to Ferdian Event’s own multidisciplinary Irish festival, El Feile which would have included collaborations with traditional Irish music acts like the Dubliners and again Kíla The local Irish community is one of the biggest and most active in Spain with active Gaelic language groups |

MADRID
Sala Galileo Galilei - Sun Feb 19 - 20.30h The Show will finally settle in the Spanish capital Madrid, in one of the most emblematic music venues in the city, Galileo Galilei. Madrid of course is also the home to the Embassy of Ireland one of the biggest native Irish and expat populations in the country. Institutions like the SIBN (Spanish Irish Business Network) keep these links so strong between Spain and Ireland.
