One Mazda part that's easily susceptible to damage is the clutch. A faulty Mazda clutch can bring on extreme discomfort to the owner of both a Mazda 323 and Mazda 626. Straight-up troubleshooting the clutch is the first logical way to fix an off-sync clutch. It is important, however, to understand the mechanism behind the clutch before daring to touch it in the first place.

All Mazda vehicles with manual transmission contain more than one Mazda clutch. Mazda clutches virtually connect two rotating shafts—one motorized by a pulley while the other motorizes another equipment, in turn. The clutch connects the two shafts, locking them together as they rotate at the same speed. The shafts are also separated by the clutch and thus, revolve at differing speeds. The Mazda clutch is needed because the car's engine rotates at all times, while the wheels do not. In the event where the car comes to a full stop, the wheel should be detached from the running engine to prevent the latter from stopping. The clutch allows the driver to link a running engine to a non-revolving transmission seamlessly, by controlling the slippage in between.

Typically, when a particular friction component in the system finally succumbs to the effects of wear and tear, the Mazda clutch begins to deteriorate. The friction material found in the clutch disc is similar in function to the brake pads of the disc brake system. And these friction materials break down from the pressure, the clutch starts to slip and the transmission of power from the engine to the wheels becomes extremely hard. In this case, replacing the faulty Mazda clutch is highly recommended. A complete clutch replacement package contains basic Mazda clutch parts, such as pressure plate, clutch friction plate and release bearings. Other clutches include pilot bearings or pilot bushings. Since a good replacement clutch enables better performance, stronger springs and a more accurate engagement of the system than factory-installed clutches, there is thus no reason why one shouldn't seek out the best Mazda clutch. Never settle for the standard if its possible to go beyond it, after all.

Im just about to advertise my car for sale but am completely unsure on what price to ask for it.

I would really appreciate if anyone could give me an idea on what i should be asking for it. Here is the details.

Ford fiesta lxd 1996 P plate

110 000 miles on the clock but this car is deisel

It has a problem with the clutch which is that sometimes it gets stuck down,i have been told that it might be the master/slav cylinder of the hydraulic clutch or it could be that the hydraulic fluid needs bleeding.

The bodywork is pretty sound apart from a small patch of rust above the rear passenger side wheel arch.

The lock on the drivers door is also very hard to open and sometimes i have to get in from the passenger side.
mot'd and taxed till april.
