Here are some more information for Wheel Hubcap Lock:

For the company that sets the world standard and major innovations in car building, it is not surprising that Ford vehicles can generate car sales enough to shatter records after records. More than a century of marked excellence proved that any Ford vehicles to hit the road are built tough.
One of these is the Ford F150 that has been in the top of the list as the best-selling trucks in America for almost three decades. In 2003, the F150 sold 850,000 units in one year to become the best-selling vehicle overall for the past 22 years. Last year it sold its 912,000 unit for a single year to extend their winning streak topping its class for 28 straight years and to 23 years as the overall best-seller. This made the F-series the top-selling vehicle of all time with almost 30 million units sold crashing the records of the Ford Model T (15million units) and the Volkswagen Beetle (20million units).
The new F-150 is part truck, part barn, and part limousine that posses the best combination of safety, luxury, practicality, and use that makes it the American vehicle whether he lives in urban or in the farm. Its full-size body is capable of carrying the greatest load in its class and with 202-horsepower 4.2-liter V6 engine and optional 5-speed manual transmission for the 2005 model; it is the best hauling machine in terms of capability in its division.
Ford improves its design in 2005. It offers the widest variety of body trims: three cab choices, three box lengths two box styles, and five unique series: the entry level F-150 XL, F-150 STX, all-purpose F-150 XLT, the though F-150 FX4, and the stylish F-150 Lariat. The F-150 King Ranch is new for the 2005 series. All feature four doors for easy entry and exit.
The 2005 F150 is equipped with 4-pin trailer tow connector wiring, power 4-wheel vented disc with Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), cargo bed tie-downs, 4.2L EFI V6 with 5-speed manual transmission (Regular Cab 4x2 XL, STX, XLT). Meanwhile the 4.6L EFI V8 has 4-speed automatic transmission (Regular Cab 4x4; SuperCab XL, STX, XLT, SuperCrew XLT), Mechanical shift-on-the-fly, and more as standard features.
It night be an overstatement when we say that best-handling, quietest, most car-like full-size pick-up truck ever existed in the industry but it pays to prove for yourself what the Ford F-150 can offer.

Buying An Used Honda Accord
First, take a walk around the car and look for general appearance that is an indication of how well the car was taken care of. Mark down any defects you find: cracks on the windshield, scratches, dents, corrosion spots, broken lenses, faded mirrors, worn wipers, missing wheel covers (hubcaps), etc. Later you may ask the dealer to fix these problems as a part of the deal or negotiate the price down accordingly.
Take your time; normally it takes 30 - 40 minutes to inspect a whole car body all around. Look alongside of the car. The lines of the car body should be perfectly straight. Look at the top image, this Honda Accord hasn't been in an accident, and you can see the body lines are perfectly straight. Look at the reflection, it is perfect, no ripples and paint quality of all panels looks the same. Try to check the entire car this way. Ripples indicate possible body repair. If the rear fender of the Honda Accord has ripples, then it was repaired after a rear-end accident. Check all the gaps between the body panels. All gaps should be of the same width and even along the entire length.
Check the manufacturer's label which is usually located on the driver's door or door jamb. Are there any signs of altering? Check the VIN number. Also check the exact date when the vehicle was manufactured. Get you used Honda accord from a trusted dealer.
The condition of the vehicle interior is another good indicator of how the vehicle was taken care of. Look at the driver's seat, is it excessively worn like the one in the picture? Check all the seat belts paying particular attention to the one at the driver's seat. Test all doors, are they open and close freely? Try to lock and unlock the driver's and passenger's doors and the trunk with the key.
Secondly make sure to test the automatic transmission carefully, especially on V6 models. If you feel a strong clunk when shifting into the Reverse or while driving, there may be some transmission problem.
Listen for humming noises from the wheel bearings. Check if the timing belt has been replaced. If not, you will have to do that. Look for the trailer hitch - if the car was used for towing, transmission might be excessively worn. If the "check engine" light is on, make sure to check it with your mechanic first.
The vehicle should start easily even if it's cold. It shouldn't shake, make excessive noise, or smoke. If you see a cloud of blue smoke at start-up, be ware, it's the first sign of possible engine problem - avoid this car. During a test-drive look for anything irregular such as vibrations, noises, etc. Pay particular attention to check the automatic transmission.
Test drive the car for as long as you need to get the feeling, tries to drive on bumpy road and if it's possible, take the car on a highway. Try to accelerate - there shouldn't be any hesitations.
Don't sign a contract and don't give a deposit until you are completely satisfied with the car. Consider to test-drive another vehicle of the same model to have something to compare with.
If you find any problem with the car make sure to discuss in details - what exactly will be done. For example, if the car needs new tires, what kind of tires will be installed - cheapest possible or of reputable brand? If they offer you an extended warranty, thoroughly study the contract first

Just discovered free-wheeling hubs on suzuki jeep. why do they give us the option to make 4wd impossible?
just spent 5 years not knowing how to turn 4wd on completely. looked in manual and read about free-wheeling hubs- a switch behind hubcaps going from 'free' to 'locked'. just turned the switches to 'locked' and 4wd works perfectly once transmission has been engaged.
we intend to leave the hubs in 'locked' position as long as there is snow on the uk roads, and only have to change transmission from '2' to '4', without getting out of the car to change the hubs.
MY QUESTION IS; why do we have the option to leave the hubs in 'free' position, meaning it is impossible to enable 4 wheel drive? why would someone never want the option?
thanks
With the hubs in locked position the front wheels are linked to the front halfshafts, differential and propshaft. This means that even when the transfer box is in 2wd mode the front wheels are still turning the rest of the driveline, increasing wear on these components and fuel consumption. Free-wheeling hubs allow the front wheels to be disconnected from the driveline, reducing component wear and fuel consumption.
I have friends who have re-built 4x4 vehicles especially for off-road duties, but have fitted free-wheeling hubs to keep wear and fuel consumption to a minimum when on the road.
