universal catalytic converter what type of tools would i need to do this? and will it do any damage to the engine to run it with out converters like straight pipes?
STOP---you cannot do this job on a 10 year old vehicle--you need torches--a hydralic lift--and you need access to all the parts and tools that you probably have NOT thought about. You need the converters or the engine computer adjustments will be WAAAAY OFF and costing you a lot of money in repairs later on. Just go to a good shop and have it done properly.
