Start with your car along side but sightly ahead of the parked car and roughly about half a meter away from the parked car. As soon as you recognize that the rear window is facing back down the road or the car behind again and you have checked that the front of the car is facing the parked car in front of you, Then stop your car immediately.

If this is for driving test purposes in the UK then you do not have to do anything else. If this is a real life situation you may have to shunt yourself forwards a bit to have equal space between you and the car behind you.Remember to keep the car as slow as you can throughout the exercise to make it more accurate and remember the observation parts of the exercise.
