requiring minimum plant material, most "landscaping" comes down

to two inexpensive small caliper trees, a few bushes planted near

the front door, a lawn of cheap grass cows would not even eat and

no irrigation system in the picture.

The do it yourself (DIY) home landscaper can face similar issues

of landscape failure if they do not pay attention to a few

landscape design guidelines. Some landscape problems do not show

up for years, but being aware of them can save time and

aggravation

Here are a few tips to keep in mind when planting your landscape.

- Do not plant grass on slopes or in narrow strips. It makes

watering difficult.

- Use healthy and actively growing plants and not root bound

ones. Root bound plants can stunt plant growth.

- When planting trees dig a good hole for planting but do not

plant them too deep, roots may suffocate.

- When planting trees keep them a safe distance from the house pool

or foundation. The roots of the tree can grow up against the

foundation and cause damage. Also trees planted too close to a

home can block visibility and as the tree matures branches can

rub up against the walls, roof and painted surfaces.

- Nailing supports into the tree or palm can create entry points

and conditions ripe for plant disease.

- Planting in locations where the soil drains poorly

- Putting flowerbeds and shrubs on the same irrigation zone as

grass can cause over watering of shrubs and flowers.

In general many landscapes never succeed because of improper

planning, design, installation and finally maintenance. With

water restrictions and drought conditions around the country,

tough times can be ahead for lawns and landscapes without proper

preparation. Practicing good landscape management practices will

still deliver and overcome environmental issues a landscape and

homeowner may face.

Geneva is not the capital of Switzerland however it did not divest the territory of the European and its cosmopolitan feel. But when Geneva Motor Show arrives, the territory radiates nothing short of breathtaking and the cars jaw-breaking. The said show showcases latest production vehicles, concept cars, supercars and sports cars.

An auto aficionado may not probably get enough of the offers of the Geneva Motor Show nonetheless there are few autos that could make him astonished for awhile. The anticipated show stars in the said show include the Saab Aero X concept, the Rinspeed zaZen, and the Porsche 911 GT3.

The Saab Aero X concept is one of the biggest surprises in the auto show. Another arresting car is the Rinspeed zaZen. The extraordinary concept car from Rinspeed needs no further description. With its single piece transparent teardrop Porsche 911-based roof design, no one would doubt its potentials for a head-turner car.

The innovative roof of the zaZen was developed by Bayer Material Science using high tech plastics. The roof of the concept car could have stolen the headlines these past few days but seeing it up close is more than stunning. Rinspeed calls the roof of the vehicle a 'crystal skin' for this is where millions of tiny Swarovski crystals are embedded in the surface. The Swarovski crystals are also featured on the front and rear lights, as well as the side indicators. The use of crystals is one of zaZen’s factors that made it dazzling. Inside the concept car are transparent sports seats and a delicious mango orange finish.

Many jaws will definitely be slackened by the Porsche 911 GT3. The car is equipped with neater nose and more stunning. The Porsche 911 GT3 is a high performance version of the 911. The car is based on the automaker’s GT3 race car.

At the said motor show, Nissan will be unveiling equally-gorgeous updated version of the 350Z. The thrilling sports car from the automaker features the next generation 3.5 V6 engine. About 80 percent of major engine parts are new. To improve responsiveness and acceleration, Nissan brake caliper is integrated to the car’s system.

With cars like these, no passionate aficionado would dare miss this year’s Geneva Motor Show.

Should I attempt to install brakes on a 2002 Jag X?

I have installed discs and pads on recent cars. The front looks about what Im used to, but the back calipers look like something out of star wars..I'm trying to save on labor here. Can I do the front and a take the rear pads and discs to a shop to install rear brake kit? And have them go over it and bleed it and everything?? I found a cool kit for in at parts train on the web..

Try and get hold of a shop manual to find out if you need any specialty tools. Unless you ran the pads into the rotors there's no need to remove the disks just clean them up a bit with emery paper. For best results don't skimp on the replacement parts too.
