Nokia 6555 Music Transfer Help?
I've been trying to figure this out. I purchased a USB cable compatible for my Nokia 6555 phone a while ago. I intended on using it just to transfer pics I snapped and stuff, but I didn't realize it could handle mp3's!
So, my problem is that when I hook up the cable to the phone & connect it to my computer, my computer recognizes it as a camera. It does show the music file folders, but unfortunately I can't click and drag my way in by putting my songs on. Now, I am using a 1.0 USB port, would using my newer laptop (with a 2.0 USB) solve the problem? Is this why it's not recognizing it as a "phone device" and not just a camera?
Any help is appreciated!!!
All you need to do is install the PC Suite: http://europe.nokia.com/pcsuite and after that connect the phone via USB and then go to My Computer > Nokia Phone Browser > Nokia 6555 > Phone memory or memory card > Copy & paste songs to the Music folder.
