Swivel chairs rotate about a vertical axis. These were invented by Thomas Jefferson in the United States. They are often found on casters as well. Swivel desk chairs are available in many varieties and in vibrant colors. These are made by the best quality craftsmanship available. They make any office complete and are comfortable to sit and work in. They give built-in lumbar support, pneumatic seat elevation adjustment, rear height and seat depth correction.
A swivel is a connection that allows the connected object, such as a gun or chair to spin horizontally or vertically. A regular design for a swivel is a cylindrical shaft that can turn freely inside a support structure. The rod is usually held in place by a nut, washer or by thickening the rod. The apparatus can be connected to the ends of the rod or the center. Another familiar design is a ball that is able to revolve, within a support structure.
A third design is an empty cylindrical rod that has another rod that is smaller, inside. They are prevented from separating by flanges. The device may be connected to either end. A swivel joint for a pipe is often a threaded link, in which at least one of the pipes is bent, often at an angle of 45 or 90 degrees. The connection is squeezed, enough to be water or air tight and then tightened further.
A part found in rolling chairs, called the caster, is a type of wheel mounted with an offset navigation pivot. This enables the wheel to automatically rotate to line up with the direction from which it is pushed. Internet provides access to various websites displaying different types of swivel chairs, along with beautiful pictures. Some offer a gallery of pictures of swivel chairs, with a slideshow.

Acura's Ace: the Acura Ball Joint
Acura is a Honda brand for cars—a name that's quite synonymous to luxury. After all, this is Honda's luxury car division in the U.S. . Since its launch in several markets worldwide, Acura has been widely associated with high-end automobile affluence in the automotive industry. Since 1996, Honda has been credited with being the first automaker to tap into a market for luxury Japanese cars located outside Japan. Before Acura, automobiles exported from Japan were primarily economical in design and largely targeted at low-cost consumers. The automobile lineup of Acura is highly recognized in the clevis industry to be innovative as well as efficient. Garnering countless awards and recognition, most notably the prestigious Motor Trend "2001 Sport/Utility of the Year" award for the MDX SUV, Acura is quite recognized as an emerging leader in the queue of luxury car makers. Acura's practice in engineering is a simple principle. Basically, what the company wants is to manufacture and promote the use of top-of-the-line car parts and accessories that will improve the overall performance of the company's car models. Parts of each Acura car model's system is designed to contribute efficient functionality and to support the system it is part of.
A prime example would be the ball joint . Ball joints are parts of your vehicle's suspension assembly that links the steering knuckles to the control arms. A ball joint is essentially made up of a flexible ball and socket team that allows the suspension to move and the wheels to steer at about the same time. Cars and trucks without strut suspensions typically have four of them while sedans and minivans with strut suspensions have only two. Some front-wheel drive cars also have ball joints in the rear suspension assembly.
The case of the Aura ball joint, however, is a mile different from what is considered standard. Acura ball joints serve as key pivot points between the tires and suspension. And when it comes to suspension, Acura cars have great suspension systems because the Acura ball joints also support the suppressed weight of the entire vehicle. Acura considers the ball joints to be an essential component in every model they manufacture. This is likely one of the major reasons why the company continues to garner respect from its competitors. With valuable parts like these, it is safe to say that Acura will retain its outstanding position in the global market for many years to come.

Why is my rim rubbing against the ball joint?
I replaced both Inner and Outer Tie Rods for both sides on my 87' Pontiac T/A, now the ball joint on the driver side connecting to the knuckle is carving out the inside of my rim. This is only happening on the driver side. The ball joint on the passenger side has about a 1/4" of space.
From the information you have provided, it sounds like you have aftermarket wheels that do not properly fit the car. They are either too wide, have too much offset, or both. Normally, there is a lot of clearance on stock vehicle.
1997 Plymouth Breeze from North America - Comments
Car ran good when I bought it, however after about two months I started to have problems. About six months after buying the vehicle is when my transmission went out, after having it flushed out several times.
