Removing ceramic tile is usually a secondary job that includes the application of some tools coupled with physical power. Ceramic tiles generally do not come up easily and their removal process depends on the surface on which they are installed. For instance, if they are set in mastic, ceramic tiles come up easily with the help of a long-handled floor scraper. But, for removing asbestos-laden mastic ceramic tiles, you require special equipments and respirators.

Certain things have to be taken into consideration when removing ceramic tiles. The surrounding bricks and walls should not be disturbed while removing ceramic tiles. Furthermore, during the removal process, gloves and safety glasses should be used to protect your hands and eyes. If working in a bathroom or shower area, it is preferable to cover the tub with an old blanket or a piece of carpet, in order to protect it from scratches. Electric clipping hammers and chisels are some of the common tools employed for removing ceramic tiles.

The first step in the removal of ceramic tile is to take out the trim covering the edges of the tiles. Next, scrape out the grout found on the perimeter of the tiles. Caulking on the vertical corners should also be properly scraped out. For removing these elements, equipments such as sharp utility knife, razor blade, and grout saw with wooden or plastic handle can be used. Once the tiles are free of grout and caulk, tapping can be done on the tiles to check whether any of the tiles is loose.

If a loose tile is located, then the rest of the tiles should come off easily. For removing the first tile, gently apply a thin putty knife under the edge of the tile. To facilitate the insertion of knife under the tile, a hammer can be used to tap the knife's handle. When the knife or blade is halfway beneath the tile, it should be exerted gradually. Likewise, remove all the ceramic tiles. If done carefully and properly, ceramic tiles can be salvaged to an extent. But, before using removed ceramic tiles again, their back should be cleaned with an adhesive remover.

Roller-Blade Wheels Replacement?

I have replaced my roller-blade wheels and for some reasons, there is a lot more friction now than before.
Maybe I damaged the bearings? Is there a tool to remove the bearings (I used the hex key)? Is there a tool to put the bearing back in place (I used a hammer)?
Thanks in advance.

This is the tool I use for pulling bearings

No tool is needed for putting them back in and never use a hammer. You could damage bearings with it.

Did you manage to forget to put in the bearing spacers?
It sounds silly because that would leave parts left over but I have seen it happen to people experianced with doing skate maintenance. It will make the wheels REALLY sluggish.

In order to get the bearings pushed ALL the way into the wheel, I use the rest of the wheels.
Pick up a stack of four wheels and crunch the stack together so that they push all the bearings on the inside of the stack get pushed in. Move to two bottom wheels to the top so that the bearings that were on the outside are in the middle and repeat. It is amazing how much more leverage you can get on the wheels this way instead of just trying to push in one at a time.

(I am assuming that all your bearings roll well out of the wheels)

If the bearings are a little slow after that, the bearings might still be slightly crooked in the wheels.
With the wheels in the skate, use your thumbs and fingers to push the visible part of the wheel to both sides. Rotate the wheel and repeat a couple times.

Summertime activities can lead to injuries
COLUMBIA, Mo. — Mowing the lawn is a ritual that many Americans perform weekly. Although it’s an activity as synonymous with summertime as baseball and barbequing, mowing the lawn can be very dangerous if not handled properly.
