* nothing special from the original xbox, just upgraded spec's
* the 360 is only known for it's 3 rings of death, because it's 33% failure rate, due to the fact that mirco$oft is a software company (xbox live) not a hardware media entertainment company

It's not THE next generation console, but it IS part of the seventh generation of game consoles because of its release date. Yes, it is true that the Xbox 360 has all of these problems and Microsoft is just looking to get more money out of people, and I do think it is really a bad system, but things like mp3 compatibility, larger hard drives, and improved Xbox live make it a smidge better than the original Xbox. Sony gives you a blue ray for free, wifi adapter is built in, and free online with no disc tray so it beats me why Microsoft needs to charge for all those things.
