How do you swap a hard top for a soft top and a soft top for a hard top on 2 jeep yjs?

The hard top from a 92 wrangler is going on a 94 wrangler and the soft top from the 94 is going on the 92. along with swapping the 92's hard full doors for the 94's half doors. Do i need any extra parts. I have all the torx bits and stuff. are most of the holes pre-drilled for swaping tops. do you need to swap all the hardware or did they come standard to take both types of tops? How long does it take and does anyone have any suggestions?

I believe that everything is exactly the same .... You will need everything that goes with the soft top to reinstall on the other YJ... this includes all rubber and metal parts that are attached to the jeep and hold the top in place... The same holds true for the hard top ... that will have a rubber gasket on top of the windshield ..... The only possible diff. would be how the hard top attaches to the windshield ...at some point they changed from just screws to locking clips ... If both jeeps have screw holes then it will fit either , the same holds true if both have the slots for the locking clips ..... The hard top will take about an hour or so ... The soft top is another matter ... even in warm weather it will take one to two hours depending on if your alone or have help .... Good Luck
