Operational Aspects of Oil and Gas Well Testing (Handbook of Petroleum Exploration and Production) List Price: $235.00 Sale Price: $173.48 |
|
Well Testing is recognised by many operating oil and gas companies to be the most hazardous operation they routinely undertake. Therefore, it is of great importance that such operations are extremely well planned and executed. This handbook covers all the major "Operational Aspects of Oil and Gas Well Testing" and uses a structured approach to guide the reader through the steps required to safely and effectively plan a well test operation under just about any circumstances world wide. Safety procedures and well testing recommended practices are rigorously addressed in this book, as are the responsibilities of those persons involved in well testing operations. Perforating equipment, drill stem test equipment and bottom hole pressure gauges are discussed in detail in the book. There is also a very valuable section on sub sea equipment, an area often not well understood even by experienced engineers who may have been primarily involved with land or jackup rigs. A major part of the book is the detailed coverage of the equipment and instrumentation that makes up a surface well testing package. It also covers operational and testing related problems such as, hydrates, wax and sand, and offers the reader some possible solutions. There are useful chapters on sampling, onsite chemistry, coil tubing and nitrogen operations and basic stimulation as they relate to well testing. Finally there is an extensive section of appendices covering useful engineering calculations and there is a complete example of a detailed well testing programme. |
Here are some more information for Back Pressure Tester:

If you really want to fix Mom's dementia, a really skilled diagnosis is what you need. Because, the right Alzheimer's work-up may reveal that your Mom does not have dementia at all.
What Else Looks Like Dementia?
A lot of things, actually. That's because what most people think of as dementia often is not. We amateur diagnosticians notice some memory loss issues and a bit of confusion, and we conclude this person has dementia. Not necessarily. Here's a brief list of other possibilities.
The Fake Dementia List:
1. Too much medication of the wrong kind or just too many medications mixing inside one person can cause the appearance of dementia. Be especially suspicious if a new medication preceded the dementia signs;
2. Loss of sight and hearing capacity can confuse and isolate old people;
3. Getting insufficient oxygen to the brain causes temporary and fixable dementia;
4. Maybe there's a cancer tumor working somewhere in the body;
5. Being in hospital often causes temporary dementia in an elder, which may well pass back at home in a few weeks;
6. Dehydration increases dementia;
7. Open-heart surgery saves lives but also results in cognitive damage in 33 percent of patients;
8. Severe vitamin deficiency, not uncommon in elders with limited dietary choices, causes temporary dementia which can be helped.
That is why it is very important to make sure someone does the full Alzheimer's work-up. Medicare pays for it and it is extensive -- MRI; CT scan; blood, liver and oxygen testing; extended social and medical history taken; brain pressure test.
That little mini-mental test doctors do in the office is not a dementia test. It just indicates memory issues. If poor memory is found, then the full Alzheimer's work-up needs to follow.
Even that, to be more confusing, does not indicate for sure that a person has Alzheimer's. The Alzheimer's work-up is really to find actual provable medical conditions. When everything findable has been eliminated, then a diagnosis of "dementia of the Alzheimer's type" is the diagnosis. That means, looks like Alzheimer's.
Dementia is more accurate description until and unless medical science actually finds the definitive chemical, gene or symptom that says absolutely without any doubt that someone has Alzheimer's. Dementia is more accurate because all Alzheimer's is dementia but by no means all dementia is Alzheimer's.
Confused?
So, if they diagnose your Mom as having dementia, can you fix that? Maybe not fix it, but it's possible that you can create care around her that helps her do better. Maybe some of the memory drugs can help, though none cure, yet. If she's been lonely and afraid, then care and company could help a lot. Eating poorly? A better diet really can help. Too little water definitely increases dementia.
You learning to be a better caregiver can help a lot too. Learn the handling skills for good dementia communication -- no arguing, no ordering about. Take time, be kind, keep it simple. Let stuff go. Be relaxed.
I've had more interest and fun in the last 20 years with people with dementia than probably you can imagine right now. And you can too.
Relax. Breathe deep. Forgive a lot. Cultivate your sense of humor. Pray. Get enough sleep -- see, you're having more fun already, aren't you?

Aerosol Valve Testing Methods and Testers
Aerosol valve testing is of great importance to aerosol valve quality. Aerosol valve has wide applications with our daily life, and even wider applications in medicine, foodstuff, chemistry and pesticide packages. The quality of aerosol valve would influence the seal and leak performance of the finished products, and has become the focus of aerosol valve manufacturers and users.
Labthink, as the excellent provider of testing instruments and services, integrates the testing methods and testers as follows:
A. Requirements on Aerosol Valve Performance
1. All the channel inside aerosol valve are unobstructed.
2. No leakage after leak test under 0.85MPa, 1min.
3. Valve can keep 1 minute under 1.8MPa pressure. The stem height H should change within 0.3mm.
4. The pull-off force should be no less than 19N of the inside; and 40N of the outside.
B. Aerosol Valve Performance Testing
1. Fluency Testing of Valves
Labthink PARAM LLSD-01 Leak and Seal Strength Detector is better than the standards (which requires a pressure range of 0-1.6MPa and 1.5 grade precision). When testing, put the aerosol valve into the leak and seal strength detector and fasten the sample valve. A pressure of 0.5MPa is needed; press the actuator manually and open the valve. The constant bubbles from the actuator channel will prove the fluency.
2. Leak Testing of Aerosol Valve
Put the specimen into Labthink PARAM LSSD-01 Leak and Seal Strength Detector, fasten the specimen and pressurize to 0.85MPa. Press the actuator; and when there are bubbles coming out of the channel of actuator, release the actuator for 1 minute, no bubble would be qualified. Besides this bubble judgment, Labthink PARAM LSSD-01 can execute quantitative testing so as to obtain detailed testing data.
3. Aerosol Valve Stem Pulling-off Strength Testing
Aerosol valve has inner stem and outer stem. Labthink PARAM XLW(PC)Auto Tensile Tester can test the aerosol valve stem pulling-off force. Put the stem in between the upper and lower clamps, and pre-set the tensile speed at 50mm/min. Then, choose tensile resistance testing and start. The strength for aerosol valve to leave the valve body is the pulling-off strength. According to requirements, the final testing results should be statistical values of the maximum value of more than 3 specimens. The inner stem should be no less than 49N, and the outer stem should be no less than 40N.
The above is a brief introduction of testing items and testers for aerosol valves from Labthink. Labthink, is willing to have more communications with professionals of the industry.

96 Cavalier overheating.?
I got a 96 cavalier 2dr with a 2.2 litre and a 5spd. The head gasket was torn and leaking from the driver's front corner of the head. So i had it replaced along with the thermostat as well. Got it back and it overheated right away so i took it back and he put another thermostat in it. It still wanted to overheat, so i got one from a different place and we tried that. Bled the air out of the system for 45min to an hour. Then i drove it home without a problem (25miles). Then the very next morning i got up for work and decided to let it run for 20 min (its cold in iowa) and then i headed out to work, got half way to work (12-14 miles) and it wanted to overheat. So we put a waterpump in it and he bled the air out again. I drove it less than 10 miles and it wanted to get hot AGAIN. We put a pressure tester to it and pumped it up to 5lbs. It held steady, didn't lose any psi, but also didn't gain any either. Only thing not replaced is the head. HELP!!!! email me at bls_80@yahoo.com
Well you said everything but the radiator. If it is stopped up with junk it will overheat. Did you have it flushed or cleaned out???
If he pressured checked it you did'nt pressure it eneff. If it has a 14lb cap you pressure it to 14lbs not 5. have it checked again.
Corolla’s funky brother
They have much in common but compact hatch not as refined as its sedan sibling
